This week, Trinity Health Senior Communities Heartwood Lodge and Village at the Oaks, both in West Michigan, welcomed all colleagues to their first Mission Fairs. These events demonstrated how rooted in our Mission and Core Values each of our jobs truly is. They were well attended, well received, and lots of fun. Below, THSC Chief Operating Officer Stacey Johnson, Regional Operations Manager Sharon Cuddington, Village at the Oaks Housing Manager DaleTron Thompson, and THSC Mission Leader Mike Prince welcomed the colleagues at Village at the Oaks to their fair on Wednesday.

The Glacier Hills Foundation will once again host its annual Walter J. Weber, Jr. Dementia Education Series in April and September 2026.

Through the Foundation’s generosity, Glacier Hills will make education available to all who have interest in understanding and compassionately caring for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. National dementia caregiving expert Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care® model will serve as the training framework. The instructor will be Beth Nolan, Chief Public Health Officer for Positive Approach to Care. Formerly an Assistant Professor and the Senior Associate Director for the Evaluation Institute at the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public Health (PITT), Dr. Nolan received her Ph.D. in applied gerontology and holds master’s degrees in Human Development and in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Each year, The Glacier Hills Foundation presents its inclusive Walter J. Weber Jr. Dementia Education Series to provide education and ongoing training to direct caregiving staff, support staff, family members, all residents at Glacier Hills, members of the greater community, and other area aging services organizations.

The Walter J. Weber Jr. Dementia Education Series is made possible by a donation from the Walter J. Weber family to the Glacier Hills Foundation. This series is complimentary and open to the public. Online registration is now open for both the April and September events:
