Daith piercings are always a good time😁

Do they cure migraines? No - not really.
But do they look freaking awesome? Absolutely!

Today I had a client come in for a tongue piercing and, unfortunately, I had to stop mid-procedure. Once the clamp was on (before actually piercing) I npticed a connection of large vessels deep in the midline of the tongue. I removed the clamp and reassesed by repositioning and applying pressure with my fingers to be sure the vessel was fixed and, sadly, at that point I had to inform the client I was not comfortable performing this piercing and why. The connection of vessels was less than a millimeter from where I needed to pierce and an alternative placement would cause too much damage to the teeth. 😔

Although the tongue is made up of paired muscles, the veins are not always symmetrical. These vessels are part of a high-flow venous network which isn't something I am willing to compromise when it comes to safety. I know this is disappointing and you are always able to get a second opinion from another piercer. Just PLEASE be sure they are checking your anatomy and they make you feel confident in their knowledge and their willingness to say no when it’s not safe.

My cat Calypso has been missing since 11pm 4/23/26 from the Bellefonte Ave / S. Highland area in Lock Haven, PA.

Her ears are easily identifiable:
Left ear tip is missing (just the tip - not tnr)
Right ear has a visible slice

She is friendly and quite chatty and may roll on the ground for attention, even with strangers.

She was last seen wearing:
Seresto collar
Dark blue breakaway collar with silver stars with a bell and black engraved tag (“Calypso” + phone number)

If she was taken in, I completely understand the appeal. She is very friendly. But she has a home, is well taken care of and is gravely missed. She will continue to be extremely vocal until she is home, if someone does happen to have her.
