Today, SPOHNC is a vital source of support, education, and hope for patients, caregivers, survivors, and friends. The Outreach Program includes over 100+ CHAPTER SUPPORT GROUPS throughout the U.S, a National Survivor Volunteer Network whereby patients are matched according to

their diagnosis and treatment. A state of the art monthly newsletter, informative e-postcards and additional resources listed on our website.

🌟 National Nurses Month 🌟

Nursing isn’t just care — it’s carrying weight most people never see. 💙

Behind every calm bedside manner are long shifts, emotional exhaustion, staffing shortages, and the constant pressure of life-or-death decisions. 🩺

It’s advocating in overwhelmed systems, absorbing patient grief, and still showing up with compassion when they’re running on empty.

SPOHNC would like to extend a very special THANK YOU to all the incredible RN’s who facilitate and co-facilitate our support chapters across the United States. Your compassion, dedication, and leadership make a world of difference. 🌍

May is Mental Health Month, and we’re honoring the emotional journey behind Head & Neck Cancer — the struggles, resilience, and healing that often go unseen.

Turning silence into support, connection, and hope. Survivors, caregivers and supporters: 💬 Share the challenges you faced (or still face) emotionally after diagnosis or treatment.

Your comment may be the encouragement someone else needs today. 🤍

For many head and neck cancer patients, treatment and recovery can affect swallowing, speaking, and communication. Speech therapy and swallowing rehabilitation help patients regain strength, confidence, and quality of life. 🗣️✨

This National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, we’re honoring the incredible speech-language pathologists who support our community every step of the way. 👏

Did you know? Nearly 30% of SPOHNC facilitators and co-facilitators are speech-language pathologists dedicated to helping patients and caregivers navigate the journey together.

Join us in thanking the professionals who help our community find their voice again. 💙
