It was a busy day.
As Mom: Volunteered at the kid's school
As LaDeidra: Voted
As Mom & Wife: Got groceries
As Nurse Dei®️: Virtual Reiki + Intuitive Healing, & Life Coaching appointments with clients
As Professor Wooten: Summer break is over
As NP Student LaDeidra: School Work, more school work, & papers 🫠
As Mom: Made invitations for the kid's birthday party this weekend.
As LaDeidra: Bedtime, but needing to study for the final exams. 😬
💥Nurse Dei®️-ism: Bro, like bruh 🤦🏾♀️ Honestly, I have to admit, I probably do have some ADHD or something. This is how I function. 🤷🏾♀️
If I'm not multi-tasking, my mind is in the clouds, hopping rainbows, and riding magic carpets through the stars.
I realized this when I became an RN in 2008. If it ain't a little stress in it or if it is getting too routine, I go get like 50-leven more jobs. 🤦🏾♀️ Then, I'm super happy. 🤣
Just crazy. Smh.
A diagnosis is likely not going to help me. I am fully aware of what I'm doing, how to decompress, and re-center.
I have a color coded calendar that includes everything, including gym, rest, lay in the grass, go pick up the kids (if I have to get them early or....yeah. 🫠🤦🏾♀️ You know. )
However, I also will say no, take mental time, or whatever I need if I feel like my balance is starting to be compromised.
The bad part is I don't leave any room for anybody to talk to me crazy. 🤭 I don't have the capacity at all and I will let them know. This ain't the one or two.
The good thing is all of the things that I do are well respected spaces. So, usually people don't run up on me and it works. 🙌🏾😁
Which one are you? Do you understand if you need a coach, Licensed Mental Health Professional, or both?
A diagnosis from a licensed mental health professional can be highly beneficial for many, especially if you don't understand what you are experiencing and/or continue to self-sabotage.
It can be eye opening and shine the light on things that you didn't even realize.
