✨DOULA SPOTLIGHT✨ Me? Can you spotlight yourself? Here goes! Most of you following my page are dear friends and family. You have given me so much love, celebration, and encouragement as I’ve started out on this new venture. You embody the kind of considerate support I want to offer to my clients. Thank you thank you.

I live in Columbia and my family loves so much about our town: Columbia College (go Cougars!), the trail systems, church community, farmer’s market — if you haven’t been to the winter market you totally should.

I’ve had two positive birth experiences myself, one in a hospital and one in my home. The settings were totally different, but both times I had care providers who listened to me and trusted my body. I had a solid support team to lean on. Education and resources empowered me to navigate the changes throughout pregnancy and labor.

The power of good support and education can change the trajectory of your pregnancy, labor, and journey through parenthood. I am so passionate about helping mothers find that confidence & peace. And to reassure them of their own inner strength, even when things don’t go according to our plans (aka always). I’m so excited to be a part of this work and so honored to be invited into such a special time in a family’s life.

There's a new doula in town! I am asked from time to time who I recommend for birthing support and I HIGHLY recommend Abby. She is a tender heart with a spirit of service. Every family would benefit from having a doula at their birth. You can expect less pain and medical intervention (scientifically proven), and a better mental health experience.
