Breast Implant Rippling - with today’s 6th generation “optimally filled” silicone implants, rippling is extremely rare. Typically this is only seen in very thin patients with minimal breast tissue/soft tissue coverage. In these patients, breast augmentation can still be performed successfully; but more commonly the implants are placed behind the muscle so that there is an extra layer of soft tissue to cover and camouflage the implant. This allows for the most natural result in these thinner patients with a paucity of breast tissue.

This patient had one of the severe cases of that I’ve treated. She was often “congratulated” on being pregnant even though she was several years post-partum. This can really affect people physical (weak core), but also emotionally/mentally. She is now 3 yrs out from tummy tuck with muscle repair
