Tony is a scientist, Marine veteran, and entrepreneur whose unique journey has shaped both his leadership style and TheraTest’s mission to serve rheumatologists nationwide. 🤝 🩺

🔹 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻
Tony began his career in microbiology and biochemistry, working in labs at the University of Illinois and Abbott Labs. He, then, shifted into finance as a commodities broker and options trader and eventually, his path led to leadership roles in sales and marketing at INCSTAR, and ICN Pharmaceuticals and TheraTest before becoming TheraTest's President and CEO.

🔹 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁?
Tony helped purify the very antigens used to launch TheraTest in its earliest days. With firsthand knowledge of both the technology and the needs of rheumatologists, he envisioned a model where practices could access high-quality diagnostic kits while also recapturing significant revenue often lost to outside labs.

A randomized, triple-blind clinical trial found that daily supplementation with 10 g of inulin for eight weeks significantly improved several inflammation and disease markers in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients specifically reducing CRP, tender/swollen joint counts, DAS-28, HAQ scores, morning stiffness, and hand grip strength.
