Congratulations to LVMC Laboratory Clinical Clerical Aide Patricia Aragon on being named Employee of the Quarter at the hospital!
Patricia was recognized as being “the heart and soul of the lab.”
“Anything you need her to do, she’ll do without complaining,” said Laboratory Services Director Megan Ayala, CLS.
Patricia’s “knowledge, dedication and versatility make her an invaluable asset” to the lab’s daily operations, Megan noted.
In her role, Patricia handles all lab inventory, places orders and ensures procedures and policies are current and followed accurately.
“She is consistently available to support anyone in the lab and does so with a positive and professional attitude,” her nomination stated.
Patricia also has a role in the Pathology Department, using her skills to assist with documenting frozen sections performed by Pathologist Dr. Kali Freeman.
Patricia spent 25 years working in the banking industry and later worked at the American Automobile Association (AAA). A Lompoc native, she was born at the “old” hospital and is now in her third year at LVMC. She said after her initial retirement, she was looking for a change of pace.
“I like all the people,” she said of the lab. “We all work so well together. I like helping people, doing whatever I can do.”
Congratulations!
