Howdy! Our Harvest Hoedown is IS NEXT SATURDAY! Woohooo!

There will be fun for the whole family. Carnival games, live music, DJ, dancing, and all the good vibes with community fun for a great cause.

September 19, 2026 | 4PM–8PM
750 E Via Carmelitos, Long Beach

Tickets are FREE to join, we ask that you RSVP so we can accommodate everyone. Link is in our Linktree.

There will be food from Battambong BBQ and drinks for purchase.

Our 4-week Farm-to-Table Culinary Program gives participants the chance to create, learn, and grow through hands-on experiences in farming and culinary arts.

From harvesting fresh produce to cooking with an experienced chef, while also gaining real world work experience, participants build skills, confidence, and connections along the way.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!

We are getting ready for our Harvest Hoedown this September on Saturday the 19th as part of our Long Beach Gives Campaign, and we could use a few extra hands!

Come spend the afternoon with us at the farm for music, line dancing, food, and lots of community spirit! There’s a place for everyone, and we’d be so happy to have you join us.

SSC has a new program led by the very talented Bev Lazo

This program culminates in a hands-on, community-centered showcase where participants directly apply their newly acquired agricultural, culinary, and customer service skills.

During the final week, participants lead an interactive farm-to-table experience for the public.

From harvesting seasonal ingredients to managing front-of-house guest interactions and kitchen ex*****on, this capstone experience celebrates participant achievements, highlights their complete seed-to-plate journey, and validates their real-world vocational readiness.
