Every child is different, and sometimes they need a little extra support before they’re ready for the next step.

In this case, additional expansion helped create more space in the arches, making it easier to continue progressing with treatment.

Over time, we were able to achieve a broader, more U-shaped arch, creating a stronger foundation for healthy oral function and future growth.

Treatment isn’t always one-size-fits-all. Sometimes it’s about meeting a child where they are and helping guide development step by step. ✨

For years, fear kept this patient away from the dentist.

A past experience left him feeling anxious, and over time, avoiding care led to bigger challenges with his oral health. By the time he sought treatment, he had already been through a long and difficult journey.

When he arrived at Long Beach Dental Studio, he was still nervous.

But hearing him say that he felt a sense of calm the moment he walked through our doors means more than I can put into words. 🤍

At Long Beach Dental Studio, my goal is never just to treat teeth. It’s to help people feel seen, heard, comfortable, and cared for throughout their entire journey.

Watching this patient regain his confidence and smile again was truly special.

Thank you for trusting me with your care and for sharing your story with us. Stories like yours are exactly why I do what I do. ✨

Have you ever noticed teeth marks along the sides of your tongue?

That’s called tongue scalloping — and it may be a sign that your tongue doesn’t have enough room.

When the upper jaw is narrow, the tongue can be squeezed between the teeth, leaving those indentations behind. But it’s not just about the marks you can see.

Your tongue plays an important role in supporting healthy breathing, swallowing, and jaw development. When it doesn’t have enough space to rest properly on the roof of the mouth, it can affect more than you might think.

A properly resting tongue should sit on the roof of the mouth, just behind the upper teeth, with full tongue-to-palate contact. If that feels difficult, it may be worth taking a closer look.

Sometimes the signs are there long before parents realize they’re connected.

Mouth breathing isn’t just a habit — it can affect sleep, facial growth, focus, behavior, feeding, and overall development.

And many of the symptoms children experience during the day may actually start with the way they breathe at night.

The earlier these patterns are recognized, the more opportunities there are to support healthy growth and development. 🤍

Relying on caffeine just to get through the day?
That’s not just “being tired.” 🤍

Most people don’t realize this…but poor sleep often isn’t about how long you sleep—it’s about how you breathe while you sleep.

When breathing isn’t optimal, your body never fully restores.
So you wake up tired… reach for caffeine… and the cycle continues.

✨ Over time, this can quietly impact your energy, focus, and overall health.

The good news?
When you address the root cause, everything starts to change.

If this feels familiar, it might be time to look deeper.

💬 Have you noticed this in yourself or someone in your family?

If you’re curious, comment “AIRWAY” and I’ll send you the link to explore more.

Este es el caption”Mouth breathing might seem harmless…but it changes more than most people realize.

When a child breathes through their mouth—especially during sleep—the body doesn’t get the same quality of oxygen.

Over time, this can affect:

• Sleep quality
• Focus and behavior
• Jaw and facial development
• Immune health

And the challenging part?

It often happens quietly.

A child can sleep through the night…and still not get the rest their body needs.

This isn’t about overreacting—it’s about understanding what’s happening beneath the surface.

Because once you recognize the pattern, you can start to support healthier growth.
