This short meditation is from one of my favorite teachers on Insight Timer. I needed to hear this today after sitting with some intense emotion these past few weeks. Something I do and teach clients to do is to imagine taking your emotion out for coffee. Sit down across from it. What does it look like? What is its size, shape, color, texture? See it. Acknowledge it. Ask what it is needing. Listen to its message. Usually, the intensity softens and allows me to move through.
Hope you'll take the time for yourself to listen. It's worth it, you are worth it.
