We are seeking expectant mothers for our Prenatal Workshop this Thursday, June 18th from 8:30am to 12:15pm. If you know of or are a mom-to-be in the second or third trimester, please reach out to us now to participate as a model in our workshop. You will be receiving prenatal massage under the supervision of our wonderful instructor. We are seeking up to 7 models. The massage therapy profession is in the middle of a quiet expansion.

Between 2023 and 2033, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment for massage therapists to grow by 18% — a rate that outpaces the broader healthcare support sector and more than quadruples the average across all U.S. occupations.

Translation: clinics, hospitals, spas, and private practices across the country are looking for skilled, ethical, well-trained LMTs — and they'll keep looking through the next decade.

That demand is an invitation. It's also a responsibility. The therapists who rise to meet it will be the ones prepared to practice with clinical competence, professional integrity, and genuine human presence.

One of our own, Danielle “Dani” Decker—beloved graduate and instructor—has stepped into the role of Academic Dean.

Dani will begin with our Summer Cohort on April 24th, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see her guiding the next generation of Berkana students. Her presence, care, and deep commitment to this work make her a natural fit for this leadership role.

This transition also marks a meaningful moment of evolution within Berkana, as leadership continues to grow from within our own community.
