We are incredibly proud to celebrate our very own Dr. Diana Pi, who was honored in Columbus on April 29 by the Charitable Health Care Network and the Ohio Department of Health as the State of Ohio Physician of the Year!

For nearly two decades at MetroHealth Medical Center, Dr. Pi has dedicated her career to exceptional patient care and medical education. For the past 12 years, she has also served our Free Clinic with compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to improving access to care for underserved populations.

Through her clinical expertise, community outreach, and dedication to service, Dr. Pi continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of so many.

In 2026, the Lorain County Free Clinic proudly celebrates 40 years of serving Lorain County as a beacon of hope and wellness for those in need. Since 1986, LCFC has provided compassionate, dignified care—without government funding—ensuring access to essential healthcare for uninsured and underserved residents.

From chronic disease management and immunizations to vision care, medications, and nutrition counseling, our all-volunteer medical team continues to make a life-changing impact every single day.

What began as a temporary solution has become a lasting lifeline for thousands. Thank you to our volunteers, donors, partners, and community for making 40 years possible—and for helping us continue this mission for generations to come.

Here’s to 40 years of caring, and many more ahead!
