I encourage my clients to submit in support of Restorative Reproductive Medicine (RRM) and NaProTechnology coverage. Personal success stories will go a long way! Deadline is Monday to submit.
The Trump Administration proposed a new rule letting employers offer standalone fertility insurance, like vision or dental.
Here's the catch: the rule is vague on what counts as "other fertility treatments." Regulators are waiting on public comments to decide what gets covered.
The average IVF cycle now costs around $23,000, and most patients need two to three cycles to have a baby, pushing total cost past $50,000.
RRM and NaProTechnology take a different approach: Diagnose and treat the actual cause (PMOS, endometriosis, low testosterone, and more), often restoring health and fertility in the process, at a fraction of the ongoing cost.
Success rates per cycle range from 40-50% under 35 to as low as 10-15% after 40.
This isn't about IVF being wrong. It's about couples deserving to know all their options before spending tens of thousands of dollars on any of them.
Most people start IVF without ever being offered a root-cause workup first. If the new fertility benefit only funds IVF, that gap gets baked into federal policy: the "supplemental insurance" ends up steering families toward the most expensive option instead of the most informative one.
Natural Womanhood is asking for three things in the final rule:
1. Make the benefit voluntary.
2. Protect employers who want to offer RRM/NaPro instead of IVF.
3. Require real regulation of IVF if it's included at all.
We're pro-informed-consent. Whichever path you choose, you deserve to know your options and their real costs before you start.
