Mothers 💜
Not the archetype.
Not the myth.
Human mothers.
Many people don’t just carry wounds from their mothers.
They carry wounds from the collapse of the fantasy that mother was supposed to be emotionally infinite.
Always nurturing.
Always selfless.
Always emotionally available.
Always strong.
But no human being can permanently embody that archetype.
Many mothers were daughters first -
carrying wounds no one ever saw,
trying to give their children everything they never had themselves.
And sometimes despite deep love,
pain still gets passed down.
Not because mothers do not love deeply enough…
but because human beings parent through their own nervous systems, wounds, survival patterns, and life circumstances.
Maybe true motherly love was never about perfection.
Maybe it is the courage to keep loving through exhaustion, heartbreak, mistakes, repair, and impossible circumstances.
To all mothers -
human, imperfect, loving, trying ~
Happy Mother’s Day 🤍
