I tried every damn thing to lose weight… but nothing stuck. Until I changed this. 👇

At 66, I was carrying extra weight, waking up tired, and feeling frustrated with my own body.

I’d start a new diet.

Lose a few pounds.

Then gain it all back.

The worst part wasn’t just the weight.

It was the low energy.
The constant cravings.
The lack of strength.
Feeling like everyday life was harder than it should be.

I didn’t want another extreme plan I couldn’t maintain.

I wanted to feel comfortable in my body again.
Wake up with more energy.
Get stronger.
Enjoy life without feeling exhausted all the time.

So I stopped chasing quick fixes and focused on simple habits I could repeat:

🥩 Protein with every meal
🚶 Daily movement
🏋️ Strength training 2–3 times a week
☀️ Morning sunlight
😴 A consistent sleep routine
💧 Water before coffee
💊 NAD each morning to support cellular energy

At 68, I’m leaner, stronger, and more energetic than I was two years ago.

Not because I found a magic shortcut.

Because I finally found a routine I could stick with.

I’m 68.

Two years ago, I turned 66 and realized I couldn’t keep blaming age for how tired and out of shape I felt.

So I stopped looking for complicated solutions.

No crazy diets.
No detoxes.
No magic pills.

Just boring habits I could actually stick to every day 👇

🚶 10,000 steps throughout the day
🥩 Protein at every meal
🏋️ Strength training 3x a week
☀️ Morning sunlight
💧 Water before coffee
😴 Same bedtime every night
🍽️ Mostly whole, minimally processed foods
🚫 Less alcohol and mindless snacking
🧬 NAD every morning to support cellular energy
🎯 Consistency over perfection

None of these habits are exciting.

But when you do the boring things long enough, they stop being boring — they become your lifestyle.

At 68, I’m stronger, leaner, and have more energy than I did at 66.

The goal was never to look 30 again.

It was to feel like myself again.

I’m 68 and she’s 61 🤍

Two years ago I was 247lbs and my doctor was preparing the prescription conversation. No ice baths. No crazy detoxes. Ten boring things we do every single day 👇

🚶 1. A 20 minute walk every morning before our phones. Thirty-eight years of alarms going off for somebody else — this walk is the first thing in my day that belongs to me.

💧 2. Water before coffee. We wake up dehydrated, so we make hydration the first thing we take care of before the day gets going.

🧬 3. NAD every morning. As we get older, supporting cellular energy becomes something I pay much more attention to. NAD became one of the simplest habits in my routine, helping me feel more energized and stay consistent with everything else we do. (Link in bio)

🍳 4. 30g protein at breakfast before anything else. After 60, maintaining muscle becomes even more important, which is why we make protein a priority every day.

☕ 5. No caffeine after 12pm. I resisted this one longest and it made the most difference to how I feel at 6am.

🏋️ 6. Strength three times a week in the garage. Nothing worth filming. It is why I can still carry my own things, which turns out to be the whole point of a retirement.

🚶 7. A 30-minute walk after dinner. Nothing complicated. Just steady movement that helps us stay active and feel better day to day.

🍽️ 8. Carbs with protein and healthy fat — never alone. We stopped being frightened of food and started being deliberate about what arrives with it.

🛏️ 9. Same bedtime every single night. Good sleep is something I had spent four decades treating as the thing I could always borrow from.

🥗 10. An anti-inflammatory dinner, eaten before eight. Simple, whole, minimally processed.

None of it is exciting. All of it is consistent. And yes, we still have a glass of wine 🍷✨

48lbs down, and the retirement I worked thirty-eight years for is finally usable. That was the whole reason.

These are the simple habits that changed how I feel every day… 👇

At 66, I was overweight, constantly tired, and frustrated that nothing seemed to stick.

I thought getting healthier would mean strict diets and hours in the gym.

Instead, I focused on a few things I could actually do consistently:

✅ Strength train 2–3x a week to build and maintain muscle

✅ Get 100g+ of protein every day to support my body and keep me fuller

✅ Walk every day to stay active and clear my head

✅ Take NAD every morning to support my cellular energy (linked in my bio 🔗)

✅ Choose consistency over perfection

Now at 68, I’m leaner, stronger, and have more energy than I’ve had in years.

No magic formula.

Just simple habits, repeated consistently.
