☀️ Summer break does not always mean medication break.
ADHD “drug holidays” can be helpful for some children — especially if there are concerns about appetite, weight, sleep, or side effects.
But for other children, ADHD symptoms still impact:
Safety
Emotional regulation
Camp
Sports
Therapy
Family routines
Social interactions
A medication holiday should be planned with your child’s prescriber — not started suddenly.
Before stopping or skipping doses, ask:
“Does my child still need support outside of school?”
Because ADHD does not only show up in the classroom. 💙
