This bowl was hard to beat đŸ€€

The sweetness and freshness of the berries were exactly what I needed on a warm day like today. They brought a burst of flavor and energy to my morning and complemented the creamy oats.

I also added chickpeas for extra nourishment and a little bite. It might sound unusual but adding legumes to your meals is one of those simple habits that can support a longer, healthier life.

To me, longevity is more than adding years to your life. It’s having the energy to enjoy your days, the strength to stay active, the freedom to do the things you love and feeling your best for as long as possible.

And if it comes in a bowl this delicious, even better. 💛

20 years ago, I sat down with my therapist and told her one thing: I just want to be happy.

Back then I was exhausted, in poor health, miserable, and stuck. Everything SUCKED. I always had a reason why something wasn’t working.

Always blaming something outside myself.
Always hoping that someday, somehow, something would change.

I kept telling myself, once this happens, I’d be happy. It never did happen.

At some point it hit me: Nothing changes if I don’t change. So I made a decision. I took responsibility for my own health and life.

I stopped watching my favorite show every night at 7:40. I stopped looking for someone else to blame. And that was exhausting too. Blaming the outside world is always easier than working on yourself!

How many times have you heard: Yeah, but that didn’t work because of so-and-so?

I started moving, with no idea where it would lead. All I knew was: I don’t want to live like this anymore.

The price? Friendships that weren’t real friendships. Comfort. Excuses. Security.

All of it had to go.

Hours and hours of work, while everyone else binged Netflix, met up with friends, had a barbecue here, went shopping there.

For me: night shifts

Today, I sit on the beach with my dog, living exactly the life I always wanted. Helping others take back control of their health and life. That’s luxury.

My luxury, earned the hard way.

But only because 20 years ago, I decided to finally take my life into my own hands.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The life I live today didn’t happen overnight. It was built from a thousand decisions.

From courage. From discipline. From persistence. From tears. From letting people go. And I wouldn’t take back a single one of them.

So here’s my question for you: Be honest:

What should your life look like in 5 years? And what are you willing to do today to make that happen?

I love simple oatmeal bowls ❀

It’s berry season which makes it even more delicious to top them with fresh raspberries and blueberries and a drizzle of peanut butter.

Nothing can stop me from eating this every day 😋

These 5 plant-based habits are non-negotiable.

DM me METHOD to learn more.

1. Build your meals around whole plant foods

Focus on the foods that nourish and fuel your body.

✅Add your favorite vegetable to each meal (chop and lightly steam it until tender)
✅For a snack, choose fruit (like an apple, berries, or a handful of grapes)
✅Use chickpeas in different ways (mash them for hummus, roast them until crispy, or toss them into salads)
✅Include a whole grain with your meals (cook buckwheat in batches for easy sides)

2. Keep it SOS-free

Fight me on this, SOS-free meals improve digestion, give you glowing skin, and reduce chronic pain.

✅Use apple cider vinegar instead of salt (to enhance the flavor)
✅Sweeten your cakes with mashed bananas or soaked dates (keeping them free of refined sugar)
✅Skip oils and sautĂ© with water or broth (to cut down on calories)

3. Repeat your go-to meals

Healthy eating gets easier when you repeat meals that work

✅Pick 3 meals you enjoy (then plan them weekly to simplify your routine)
✅Keep the same base, like quinoa and black beans, and swap the toppings (choose broccoli, bell peppers, or a different dressing)
✅Batch cook a meal you love (make extra portions to use on busy days)

4. Eat enough real food

Focus on minimally processed whole plant foods

✅Add beans, lentils, potatoes, or tofu to make meals satisfying (because no one stays full on lettuce alone)
✅Don’t skimp on portions but make sure your meals leave you satisfied (prioritize fiber-rich vegetables and complex carbs)
✅Avoid under-eating by adding calorie boosters like healthy fats to your meals (like avocados, nut, seeds)

5. Prepare before you are hungry

This is the golden rule of nutrition

✅Keep simple ingredients on hand to whip up tasty meals without endless chopping (stock up on legumes, whole grains and frozen veggies)
✅Wash or chop vegetables ahead of time (this is a major time-saver)
✅Ask yourself: Are my staples ready to eat? (Is my rice cooked, or is the veggies portioned and in the fridge?)
