The disability employment gap is far too wide.

We cannot accept this disparity. Closing the gap requires action at every level, from education and workforce development to hiring practices, workplace accessibility and policies that protect and expand opportunity.

At Special Needs Network, we’re doing our part through job training and hands-on work experience with Special Flavours, alongside advocacy for greater inclusion and opportunity for people with developmental disabilities.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to work, advance and lead. 💜

That’s what we want to see from SNN NextGen as we celebrate 20 years of Special Needs Network. Friends bringing in friends. Families sharing with families. More people choosing to be part of the work ahead.

Eight years ago, we rolled out the red carpet for our 13th Annual Evening Under the Stars Gala, celebrating the everyday superheroes making a difference in our communities.

From incredible honorees to an unforgettable evening of entertainment, the mission was just as important then as it is today. Creating opportunities, championing inclusion, and advocating for children with autism and their families.

Now, as we prepare to celebrate 20 years of Special Needs Network at this year’s Evening Under the Stars, it’s pretty incredible to look back at how far we’ve come!

Here’s to the superheroes who helped us get here and the next generation of changemakers carrying the mission forward! 💜

We’re looking for volunteers to support our 20th Anniversary Evening Under the Stars celebration! ✨

On Saturday, October 24th, Special Needs Network will bring together community leaders, advocates, families, and supporters for an unforgettable evening celebrating 20 years of impact. And we could use your help!

Volunteers will assist with event setup, guest check-in, greeting attendees, guest escorts, and fundraising support.

Special Needs Network is proud to announce Diezel Braxton-Lewis as our Everyday Advocate Honoree at the 20th Anniversary Evening Under the Stars on October 24th!

As a young adult with autism, Diezel is part of a new generation using their voices and experiences to increase understanding, challenge perceptions and advocate for greater inclusion for people with autism.

As Special Needs Network celebrates 20 years of creating greater opportunity, access and belonging for children, adults and families impacted by autism and developmental disabilities, we’re proud to recognize Diezel and the importance of self-advocacy in shaping a more inclusive future.
