Whether it’s Medicaid, nutrition assistance, or federal infrastructure, waste and illegal exploitation drain resources that hard-working citizens pay into and that vulnerable families rely on. Increased spending in recent years also reflects long-overdue expansions in insurance coverage, higher diagnosis rates, and families finally accessing critical early-intervention care for autism.
