11:11 Projects

11:11 Projects Our mission is to build a network of cultural oases by equipping artists with the tools to create socially-minded, community-uniting public art projects.
(1)

We envision a revitalized world where artists are empowered to guide humanity to establish a more just society, rebuild a healthy planet, and reclaim their cultural legacies. 11:11 A Creative Collective is a woman-led art and culture non-profit organization that develops and executes integrated and accessible public art, arts programming and experiential installations. We believe that the planning

, design, and management of public space should place the arts in the forefront, telling stories of our collective culture. We believe that environments activated by the arts create empowered people and honor legacies. We produce large-scale art projects with sensitivity and equitability that reflect the value of its citizens.

Four intersections. Two artists. One freshly reimagined stretch of La Crescenta Avenue. 🎨🚸

The City of Glendale's La Crescenta Avenue Rehabilitation Project just wrapped, and its creative crosswalks are officially underfoot β€” hand-designed by artists and .one and installed at Shirlyjean Street, Roselawn Avenue, Oakmont View Drive, and Piedmont Avenue.

@1111.projects saw the opportunity to put artists at the forefront of this project, secured the contract with the City of Glendale, and coordinated the designs between the artists and the city.

What used to be plain asphalt is now a corridor where pedestrian safety and public art share the same footprint. Swipe through to see all four, and go give and .one their flowers for putting art literally in the path of everyday life. πŸ‘£

Thank you to the City of Glendale and Jennifer
Fukutomi-Jones for the collaboration!

🎨 SFV Artists β€” Reseda Rising is calling you home.
We're building out two ways to be part of the Valley's biggest art night of the year this October 17th, and both are paid opportunities for artists who live in, grew up in, or have deep ties to the San Fernando Valley.

Art Activations β€” host a free, hands-on station where the public makes art alongside you. Think sewing, printmaking, crafting- or your own hands-on concept. You lead it, you shape it, you get paid a stipend to bring it to life.

Art Installations β€” go big. Medium-to-large scale, the kind of piece that stops people mid-step and draws them closer. This is your shot at a festival centerpiece. Have an installation that's been begging to come out of storage and into the public- this is the opportunity!

Both are part of Valley Rising β€” the Valley's biggest arts season, closing out with Reseda Rising on Sherman Way this October.

Three years ago, Perenchio Foundation took a chance on 11:11 Projects We had accomplished a lot, but were still figuring out what we'd become. Since then, we paid 84 artists in a single year, are celebrating 1 full year of the Valley's only subsidized artist studio , have grown our incredible team to 4 full-time and 3 part time staff, and are embarking on our biggest venture to date (to be announced later this year!)

This year, Perenchio Foundation renewed their support for two more years.
That's not a funder writing a check. That's a foundation betting on where the San Fernando Valley is headed, and betting on us to help get it there.
Grateful doesn't cover it. Thank you, .

Third House resident artist Vivien Rodriguez just completed a new mural at Helen Bernstein High School in Hollywood, created in partnership with . Before a single line was drawn, Vivien led two workshops to hear directly from students and community members β€” letting their stories and visions shape the design from the start.
From there, she brought it to life with the help of friends, volunteers, and the Third House Studios community, who showed up and made it real together.
That's what this work is about β€” artists leading with intention, and community showing up for one another.
Congrats, Vivien. We're proud to have you at Third House. πŸ–€
