Water is life! 🩵

Our global community in Quilicura, Chile needs our help saving their water resources. Known for having one of the highest concentration of AI data centers in the region, the community launched an initiative to inspire more responsible AI prompting.

For one day (today January 31), the people of the town of Quilicura will “become your AI” offering real life connection, knowledge and feedback through the quili.ai app (https://www.quili.ai) — helping you draw images, recommend recipes, and assist with other requests you might typically send to genAI.

We reached out to our friends in Quilicura to learn more about how we can support their community and they asked us to share this message:

“Personally, first, reduce the use of Al or use it responsibly, secondly make visible the information of the data centers in Quilicura and the environmental impact it causes, third by disseminating information on this topic.”

Several of the images shared in our message on The Power of Giving reflect moments from our humanitarian expeditions around the world — witnessing resilience, identifying gaps in healthcare access, and working alongside local communities to co-create solutions for a global ecosystem of health and healing.

This path was inspired by my aunt, Juanita, whose mission work in Kenya — beautifully captured in this photo story — helped build both a hospital and a school. Her work planted a seed that would later grow into our program:

Hope for Health! — an initiative under A Cure for Issa, modeled after her humanitarian legacy and designed to deliver sustainable access to nutrition, medicine, and healthcare in underserved communities.

Charity in motion builds systems, partnerships, and shared humanity.

This is the power of giving.

“It’s embarrassing to be human.”

Sometimes, seeing words like this painted across a wall or a trailer makes us pause. They capture a feeling many of us share in today’s world—where wars, political division, and policies that neglect the vulnerable leave us questioning how humanity lost its way.

But alongside that heartbreak, there is also hope. Because to be human is also to have the capacity for deep care, for healing, for change. Every political decision, every vote, every act of advocacy ripples out into the health and wellness of our communities—shaping whether families have food, whether care is accessible, whether people feel safe and seen. 🫂

As a nonprofit dedicated to health and wellness, we hold onto the belief that compassion is stronger than cruelty. Systems may be broken, but people—together—can mend them. Wellness doesn’t just mean access to healthcare, it means creating a culture where empathy and justice are the foundation.

It may feel embarrassing to be human at times, but it is also beautiful. Each of us has the chance to prove that humanity can be kind, resilient, and united. ❤️‍🩹

If our story can reach ‘Around the World in 90 Days!’ how much support can we raise?!

We are all connected and share a great responsibility to help our community. At A Cure for Issa our story begins with healing. Our programs and services are designed to benefit the whole person and provide a more holistic approach to healing that considers both advances in modern medicine and multidimensional aspects of wellness.

We are building a global ecosystem for health and healing. We’ve been listening to the stories and voices of our community and are working on more ways to serve you.

Our Community Health Outreach program provides individuals and families with educational resources and options for integrative medical therapies and modalities - highlighting alternatives to more invasive forms of medical treatment.

Our field research connects us with different communities around the world, helping us learn and understand new modalities for health and healing and teaching us to become better stewards of humanity.

Our international humanitarian relief program Hope for Health! directly impacts the civilian population in communities around the world with limited to restricted access to medical aid and services.

We would love for the community to share our story; the more people we can reach, the greater the impact and possibilities we can create. Thank you for helping us make a difference!
