For years, I thought weighing myself was keeping me accountable.
I believed the number on the scale would keep me “in check.”
Instead, it kept me obsessed.
A good weigh-in meant I could relax.
A bad weigh-in meant I needed to restrict, start over, or beat myself up.
My entire day could be shaped by a number.
The truth? Lasting freedom around food didn’t come from monitoring my weight more closely.
It came from healing my relationship with food, my body, and myself.
The scale wasn’t solving the problem.
It was keeping me focused on the symptom. 💛
