After 30+ years of helping women heal their relationship with food, I’ve learned that peace doesn’t come from having more rules.

It comes from letting go of the guilt, restriction, perfectionism, and “I’ll start again Monday” mentality.

The goal isn’t to eat perfectly.

It’s to stop letting food have so much power over your life. 💛

Eating well doesn’t have to mean spending hours in the kitchen.

On busy days, I’m all about making the nourishing choice the easy choice and sometimes that means grabbing a store-bought salad and calling it a win. 🥗

Simple, satisfying, and one less thing to think about.

Want one of my favorite salad recipes? Comment GOOP and I’ll send it your way! 💛

After 30+ years of doing this work, I’ve learned that focusing only on the food often misses what’s really going on.

Food can become comfort after a stressful day.
A distraction when you’re overwhelmed.
A reward when you’re exhausted.
A way to soothe feelings you don’t know what else to do with.

So instead of only asking, “How do I stop eating this way?” try asking:

“What is the food doing for me right now?”

That question can change everything. 💛

Some seasons of life are just… a lot. 💛

Caring for aging parents, supporting family, managing work, trying to keep everything moving, it can feel like there’s nowhere for the stress to go.

And if food has been your source of comfort, those are often the moments when old patterns show up.

I’m reminding myself of the same thing I tell my clients: I don’t have to handle everything at once. Just today. Just what’s in front of me.

Breathe. Ask for support. Fill your own cup where you can.

And take it one day at a time.

Your relationship with food follows you everywhere.

It can affect how you feel after a meal, how much mental space food takes up, how you speak to yourself, and even how present you are in your everyday life.

That’s why healing isn’t just about changing what you eat. It’s about creating more peace around food and within yourself. 💛

So many women believe they have to figure it all out on their own.

But healing was never meant to be a solo journey.

Whether it’s a friend, a coach, a therapist, or a supportive community, reaching out for help isn’t a sign of weakness- it’s one of the most powerful things you can do.

You don’t get extra points for struggling alone.

💛 If you’re looking for a community that truly understands, join our free Facebook group through the link in my bio. You’re welcome here.

Sugar cravings aren’t always about a lack of willpower.

Sometimes they’re your body’s response to stress. Sometimes you’ve been restricting yourself for too long. Sometimes you’re running on too little sleep. And sometimes... it’s simply become part of your routine.

The first step isn’t judging yourself.

It’s getting curious about why the craving is there in the first place.
