Biopsies don’t cause metastatic breast cancer.
I understand why people think they do, and there are rare cases of breast cancers growing in the biopsy needle track, but there are lots of papers that show biopsies are safe.
We need them to tell us how to treat you -
What surgery you need?
Do you need chemo first?
We used to remove lumps years ago but many lumps aren’t cancerous and no surgeon wants to remove healthy breast tissue or leave a scar unless we have to
Do your research and look for yourself if you’re scared
But remember the only person qualified to tell YOU what to do is your doctor
Stage 4 cancer is s**t
I get why so many people look for a reason when nothing my about cancer makes sense
I’ve had 2 local recurrence and I still wonder why? Why did my cancer come back despite all the treatment. Was it something I did? No. It’s just that cancer is a sneaky bu**er.
Millions of biopsies are done every year.
If they did make cancer spread, we wouldn’t be doing them
