Legs at Fit Nation Norwalk with the big dawgs. I will never take these days for granted. Learning from Paul, Jo & KC - and vibing off the energy has really transformed the way I train. This is my favorite workout of the week right now. It takes me about 2 hours to get through and kicks my a$$ every time.

I think people generally over complicate glute training, and do too much junk volume and fluff movements that look fancy, but don’t actually facilitate growth. I can say this from personal experience, I’ve tried all the funsies.

At the same time, I think it takes some experimenting to find what YOU need to bring up where you’re lacking, and what works for your body. Volume, frequency, intensity & exercise selection very much matter, and will be different for everyone.

If you’re feeling like you’re not seeing much change, odds are you’re doing the wrong movements, with the wrong form, with the wrong intensity and your frequency needs adjusting. That and most women are severely undereating for what they need to grow. It’s gonna take getting outside your comfort zone in terms of body composition and pushing calories to make any substantial changes.

Hammie day with a sprinkle of glutes at 🖤

I’ve used a lot of belt squats for various movements and the original Pit Shark is by far the heaviest! Personally I love the belt squat for hip hinge movements and deadlifts - just can’t beat the constant tension, esp if you’re a long limbed person like myself. The leverage just allows for more stability within the stretch.

Looking forward to getting stronger with those. I also did some leg extensions and hip abductions for my accessories.

Time to eat all the food and get psyched for another leg day tomorrow…
