Breathe Southern California Breathe SoCal promotes clean air and healthy lungs through education, advocacy, and technology.

Breathe Southern California has a long history of public health engagement aligned with its 100 year-old mission to improve air quality and lung health through education, research and advocacy. Formed in 1903 to address the epidemic of tuberculosis and other lung-related diseases, the organization’s education and outreach efforts have resulted in significant reductions in incidences of TB and more stringent smoking laws.

Today, we celebrate Samantha as she begins an exciting new chapter pursuing her doctorate degree. 🎓✨

Throughout her time at Breathe Southern California, Samantha has made a lasting impact on our team and the communities we serve. Her kindness, creativity, and ability to make complex health topics easy to understand helped educate and empower countless individuals while also going into individuals home to provide resources. Whether she was leading a workshop, engaging with community members, or developing new ideas, Samantha always gave 100%.

We are grateful for her dedication, passion, and the positive energy she brought to Breathe SoCal every day. While we will miss her greatly, we couldn’t be more excited to see all that she accomplishes on her journey ahead.

Families from across the Inland Empire joined us at our Breath of Life: Electric Summer event to learn about electric vehicles, clean transportation, air quality, and healthy living while enjoying free food, giveaways, community resources, and hands-on activities.

From our interactive "Imagine Your EV" art activity and EV demonstrations to health screenings and community education, attendees had the opportunity to discover how cleaner transportation choices can help create healthier communities and a cleaner future for everyone.

Throw Back to last month when when Breathe Southern California proudly participated in the AstraZeneca & The Wildlife Conservancy Annual Research Symposium, where healthcare professionals, researchers, firefighters, and community leaders came together to discuss the growing impact of wildfire smoke on lung health.

Our team shared educational resources, demonstrated lung health screening tools, and connected with attendees about ways to protect respiratory health during wildfire season.

Thank you to our partners and everyone who stopped by to learn more about lung health, air quality, and prevention. Together, we're helping Southern Californians breathe easier.
