The healthiest toast for pregnancy is hiding in your kitchen — and no one’s talking about it 🧄🍅

Garlic + tomato + olive oil + egg on toast is a bioactive bomb, and most pregnant women have no idea. Here’s the science:

🧄 Garlic → chop it, then WAIT 10 MINUTES before cooking. This is when the enzyme alliinase converts alliin into allicin, garlic’s main bioactive (immune support, anti-inflammatory, healthy blood flow). Heat destroys the enzyme but allicin is stable, so the rest period determines how much makes it into your meal. Most people skip this step entirely.

🫒 Olive oil → oleocanthal is a natural anti-inflammatory that works on the same pathway as ibuprofen, without the side effects. It’s barely discussed outside of olive oil research circles.

🍅 Tomato + heat → cooking tomatoes in fat makes lycopene 2-4x more bioavailable. Lycopene supports placental health and is linked to lower preeclampsia risk in pregnancy.
