🌟 Meet Ready, Set, Gold! 🌟

We are excited to introduce our new friends and partners at Ready, Set, Gold!, a fellow nonprofit organization that was introduced to us by our friend, Paralympian Isaac Jean-Paul.

🏅 Ready, Set, Gold! brings Olympians and Paralympians to schools and events to inspire kids to dream big and be their best.

💛 Their athletes teach health and fitness through the lens of social-emotional learning. Promotion of the Paralympics and education around access and disability is a top priority as the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics come to Los Angeles.

Together, we're planning a very special My PlayClub event called Play Without Limits on Sunday, December 6, 2026, at Aidan's Place Playground at Westwood Recreation Center. This inclusive community playdate will give children and families the opportunity to connect with Olympians and Paralympians through play, movement, and fun.

Every Together, We Are Able field trip begins with a bus ride—and thanks to STA, that ride leads to friendship, understanding, and inclusion.

This year, thousands of students traveled to our inclusive playgrounds where they connected with peers of all abilities, discovered new perspectives, and learned that everyone belongs.

Celebrate International Day of Inclusive Play with My PlayClub! 🌴☀️

Join us for a FREE beach-themed playdate at Glen Alla Playground in Marina Del Rey, where children of ALL abilities can play, connect, and belong together in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

The International Day of Play is an official United Nations observance held annually on June 11 to recognize play as a fundamental human right and raise awareness about its essential role in children’s development, well-being, and lifelong learning. Established by the United Nations in 2024, the day serves as a global call to action to protect every child’s right to play—especially as safe spaces for play continue to shrink around the world.

As an organization with Consultative Status with the United Nations, Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration is proud to celebrate this important movement by creating our own International Day of Inclusive Play—a community celebration dedicated to ensuring that children of all abilities can play, learn, and grow side by side.

In addition to free play at our fully accessible playground, families can enjoy activities that encourage creativity, movement, teamwork, and connection, including:

• Sand castle building station

• Beach scavenger hunt

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Inclusion Matters is sharing this important post from the United Nations and the World Health Organization (WHO) to help raise awareness about children’s mental health.

Around 1 in 7 young people experience mental health challenges, yet issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders are often overlooked in children and adolescents. WHO reminds us that parents, caregivers, and teachers all play an important role in recognizing the signs that a child or young person may need mental health support.

At Inclusion Matters, we believe inclusion means supporting the whole child — emotionally, socially, and mentally. Creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive environments helps children feel connected, understood, and supported. Together, we can foster empathy, awareness, and belonging for every child.
