Tech isn’t just changing surgery, it’s changing how I perform it. 👨‍⚕️⌚️

I use wearable technology in the operating room to help me stay aware of things like my posture and positioning throughout a procedure.

When you spend hours focused on precision, even the smallest details matter, including how you take care of your own body while operating.

Better habits in the OR help me stay focused on what matters most: my patients. 🙌

Ever hear a whistling sound when you breathe through your nose? 👃🎵

That sound may actually be giving you a clue about how air is moving through your nasal passages.

Changes in airflow can happen for a number of reasons, from temporary congestion to structural differences inside the nose. As a facial plastic surgeon, understanding where that airflow is being disrupted is an important part of figuring out what may be causing the sound.

In this video, I break down why your nose might whistle when you breathe and when it’s worth having it evaluated.

Because sometimes your nose is trying to tell you something. 👀

Looksmaxxing transformations are all over social media, but what can actually change the appearance of a face this dramatically? 👀

I take a closer look at the before and after photos of looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular from a facial plastic surgeon’s perspective.

We’re breaking down the visible differences in facial proportions, jawline, chin, nose, and overall facial structure, and discussing some of the factors that could contribute to those changes.

Without treating someone personally, we can’t know exactly what they have or haven’t done. This analysis is simply an educational look at facial anatomy and how different changes can influence overall facial proportions.

Watch the full breakdown and tell me which change you noticed first. 👀

Two weeks after rhinoplasty does NOT mean you’re finished healing. 👃⏳

It’s one of the biggest misconceptions I hear about rhinoplasty recovery.
Around the two-week mark, many patients are feeling more comfortable being out and about, but swelling and some bruising can still be present. And even when you look healed on the outside, changes are continuing beneath the surface.

Rhinoplasty results can continue to refine for months, and in some patients, the final healing process may take a year or longer.

Be patient with your nose. Healing is a process, not a two-week deadline. Always follow your surgeon’s individual post-operative instructions throughout your recovery.

The things I say to patients in the name of good marking placement... 😂

When I’m marking a patient, I need to see how their face actually moves, which means getting them to frown, smile, raise their brows, squint... basically give me every expression possible.

And sometimes the easiest way to get a genuine reaction is to say something completely ridiculous. 🤷‍♂️

There IS a method behind the madness. Every face moves differently, and seeing those expressions helps me customize treatment to each patient’s unique facial anatomy and movement.

Social media can make surgery seem like the next logical step for every aesthetic concern, but younger patients often have very different options available to them.

Before recommending a facelift or neck lift, I look at what’s actually creating the concern. Depending on the individual, treatments like RF microneedling may be considered to support skin texture, quality, and a firmer-looking appearance without jumping directly to surgery.

That doesn’t mean there’s one “right age” for a facelift. Anatomy, genetics, goals, and the degree of facial aging all matter more than the number on your driver’s license. Let’s start with a consultation and figure out what actually makes sense for you.

We’re excited to announce that ExoCube is now available in our practice. ✨
ExoCube is an FDA-cleared, single-use medical device that processes a patient’s own blood into a concentrate using a closed mechanical process, without the addition of external chemicals or enzymes.

Depending on a patient’s goals and treatment plan, it can be incorporated into a personalized approach to skin rejuvenation and aesthetic care.

As always, every treatment starts with a consultation to develop a plan that’s tailored to your anatomy, skin concerns, and goals.
