As we prepare for the June 2, 2026 California Primary Election, Clínica Romero is sharing a nonpartisan voter guide to help our patients, families, and community better understand the races and measures that may impact healthcare, mental health services, housing, and other community resources.

This guide focuses on the districts connected to Clínica Romero’s service areas and supports informed civic participation through a health equity lens.

We are deeply disappointed that SB 1179 was held yesterday in the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Thank you to State Senator Caroline Menjivar for authoring this important bill, which would have created a pathway for licensed physicians from El Salvador to serve in California community clinics and help expand culturally and language-responsive care in underserved communities.

At a time when California faces a growing doctor shortage and federal healthcare cuts threaten access to care, our communities cannot afford more delays.

Today we remember and honor Monseñor Óscar Romero.

He stood with the poor. He spoke the truth. He didn’t step back and dying fighting for human rights and social justice.

Today, our communities are struggling and in fear. There are still barriers. This is why Clínica Romero exists. This past Saturday, we didn’t just remember him, we lived it. We showed up, served, and stood with our community. That’s what his legacy looks like in action.

“There are many things that can only be seen through eyes that have cried.” That’s the kind of compassion he lived, and the kind we’re called to live out every day.

We don’t just carry his name; we live his mission. So today, be intentional. Show up for someone who needs it. Make one moment count.

Bring the kids, connect with neighbors, and enjoy a little springtime fun together.

Our team will also be onsite sharing information about Substance Use Services for youth and families and assisting with medical renewal or coverage questions, if needed.
