Most people think mushroom cultivation starts with a mushroom.
Growers know it starts with culture.
This Sunday, the MycoFutures cohort moves into one of the most exciting parts of mushroom cultivation: learning how growers work with different species and build healthy cultures from the ground up.
🍄 Module 2: Mushroom Biology & Cultivated Species
Together we'll explore:
🌱 Oyster, Lion's Mane, Shiitake, and other cultivated species
🧫 Agar plates and why they are the foundation of culture work
đź’§ Liquid cultures and how growers multiply healthy mycelium
🌎 The environmental conditions that help different species thrive
This is where cultivation begins to feel less like a hobby and more like a skill.
If you've been curious about growing mushrooms, building food sovereignty, or learning regenerative cultivation techniques, there is still time to join this cohort.
Participants who attend at least 6 of 8 classes will receive a MycoFutures Certificate of Completion.
