Station spotlight: ATLAS

The Advanced Training in Laparoscopic Suturing station, led by Dr. Dmitry Nepomnayshy, brought suturing and knot-tying exercises to the E&I Center in Tampa.

Attendees worked through challenging maneuvers: suturing under tension, intracorporeal knot tying, working in confined spaces, running sutures. Each task was scored against basic, advanced, and expert proficiency levels, so participants walked away knowing exactly where they stood.

The Education & Innovation Center is the hands-on space in the SAGES exhibit hall.

Stations are led by SAGES members. Attendees walking the hall stop in, work with their hands, and learn something they can take back to their practice. Simulation, new techniques, new technology, all of it live and in person.
