The co-owner, Amina Lakin, has asserted that by making a public Facebook post on her personal page that she is released from her 50% ownership of the company, Flawless Cosmetics, LLC. For someone who claims to have a degree in business, she sure has no sense of how corporations operate. Making a public Facebook post by no means removes her 50% ownership of the brand. She was emailed forms to fill out to release her 50% ownership of the brand like she claimed she wanted back on November 18th, however she chose not to sign and return the documents. Instead, she illegally filed to dissolve the brand with the state of California and claimed on a government document that all members voted to dissolve the LLC on 2/14/2022. However this never happened. We never voted to dissolve the brand and she illegally filed claiming I voted to dissolve it. Of course this matter will have to be settled by the courts of California for her fraudulent forgery of a government filling. Screen shot of the fraudulent dissolving of the LLC is included and can be accessed by anyone publicly. As of this moment, Amina Lakin is still legally 50% owner of the brand until it is legally dissolved. So yes, she is still responsible for the debts of this business, 50% responsibility via CORPORATIONS CODE - CORP
TITLE 2.6. CALIFORNIA REVISED UNIFORM LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY ACT [17701.01 - 17713.13] ( Title 2.6 added by Stats. 2012, Ch. 419, Sec. 20. ) (7) A person’s ceasing to be a manager does not discharge any debt, obligation, or other liability to the limited liability company or members which the person incurred while a manager.
She likes to claim she has no obligation to any of the debts incurred by the business, however California law stats otherwise.
Today I also received a fake certified letter from her. This letter wasn’t even addressed to my legal name. The USPS didn’t have anyone sign for the letter. She did this to try and use intimidation tactics. I’m assuming she couldn’t afford to send it via actual certified mail. I have already made it clear to her that I will not fall for her fake lawyer and sue happy threats that she has pulled on many other people. That will not work with me. Due to her fake certified letter, and her continued harassment against me, I will be contacting the USPS for her committing mail fraud.
As for her claims to the companies business banking. As she even claimed herself, it is a shared account with her name on it. It’s not mine, nor anyone else’s responsibility but her own to remember her login info for the bank. She has complete access to the account at anytime and always has. If she has forgotten her login info then she has always had the opportunity to contact the bank to change her login info and have access to the account. I have no possible way of removing her access to the account since her name is also on it. She continues to lie in order to try and make herself out to be the victim. However, if you look at this woman’s track record over the years with affiliates and others, it has been one case of drama after another. She seems to thrive off of drama and fool many of her followers into believing her lies.
She also claims she has no access to the back end of the website, yet her account was available to login at anytime under her email and password. She obviously forgot her password and the fact that she even had an account login and wanted to continue to use my personal account. This was the same situation with the bank account. She texted me over and over wanting my personal bank login info. I explained to her over and over I would not give her that info because my login doesn’t only show the business account, but also gives access to my personal banking account which she has no business having access too.
A lot of you seem to believe her lies and support her. However in my next post you will see the type of person she truly is. I think it will prove the type of person she is and change the way you think about supporting her. Mrs Lakin, I think your next move should be chosen wisely.
If she continues her harassment and defamation, I will have no choice but to handle this legally, including the illegal crimes she has committed stated above.
