A NEW option for HIV prevention may be on the way!

We’re conducting a study on the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of a once-a-month oral PrEP pill. Instead of taking PrEP every day, this study is testing if one pill a month can protect against HIV just as well. Contact us for more information on this cutting-edge study!

You may qualify if you:
Age: 18-30
Are not living with HIV.
Are a cisgender man, trans woman, trans man, or nonbinary person.
Have had condomless receptive a**l s*x (bottomed) in the past year.
Have s*x with partners assigned male at birth.

Honoring National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD)

The UCLA CARE Center, proudly celebrates the impact of bringing community, culture, and care together for National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. This powerful gathering was more than an event, it was a movement rooted in education, empowerment, and equity.

We reaffirm our commitment to ensuring our communities have access to accurate, culturally responsive information about HIV prevention, treatment, and ongoing research, while also amplifying the critical role of clinical trials in advancing health outcomes for Black communities. Representation in research is not optional, it is essential.

This year, we intentionally elevated the conversation around women’s health, acknowledging the unique challenges Black women face in HIV prevention, care access, and health advocacy. Their voices, experiences, and leadership are vital in shaping a future where wellness is accessible to all.

Equally important is our responsibility to curate safe, affirming spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, respected, and empowered to take control of their health without fear, stigma, or judgment.

To everyone who showed up, shared space, and stood in purpose with us; thank you. The work continues, and together, we move closer to a future grounded in health equity, dignity, and collective care.
