Tattooing is from the street there’s no denying that, and that street culture is something you cannot fake a lot of new artists don’t have that background, but you can’t fault them for that you can’t make up or force culture but you can understand it. You can’t study it and you can respect it

If you’re a young tattoo artist, and especially if you’re from Los Angeles. You should know where this all comes from. You should read those books the interviews watch the documentary. Just like I did when I first started my tattoo career.

It really does give you a brand new perspective, and can inspire you to keep on, pushing the limits of this industry

A mix of some recent work, fresh new pieces, a few healed up, some projects I’ve been working on

Healed, black and grey double leg sleeve based on classic thriller and horror movies, the client gave me a lot of creative freedom with this one and it came out super clean

Memorial leg sleeve built around family photos and a personal letter the client shared, definitely one of those projects that meant a lot, and was honored to be a part of

Healed Lil Wayne portrait I got to do on a fellow tattoo artist, really cool and unique reference healed up, smooth

Healed double portrait of clients parents with lily flowers in the background, I always like working with vintage family photos, they translate really well into black and gray realism

Those actions that you feel you need to move on do it someone else is going to beat you too it,
you’re going to be left in the dust kicking yourself like f*ck
that could’ve been me or I thought of that first !

At first, I was embarrassed to make content
putting myself out there like that, but I jumped in anyways
now I have the followers
now my videos get tons of views,
I can travel for work
more opportunities are open to me
clients trust me,
give me freedom some even travel to me

Yes tattoos hurt especially head tattoos and even more so tattoos that are done well and have a good amount of saturation
