The VEDA Way offers a guided transformational self-reflective process based on the 4 Purushartas/ Aims of Life in Vedic Philosophy: Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha, abd integrates Vedic practices such as Mindfulness, Ayurveda, and Vedic Astrology. Ayurveda, translated from Sanskrit as the “Science of Life,” is an ancient healing system developed and passed down orally over 5,000 years ago in India

, and eventually recorded in the Vedic texts. Although suppressed during years of foreign occupation, Ayurveda is experiencing a major resurgence today, especially with the unprecedented rise of chronic disease, and the growing consciousness that many of these conditions can be managed and reversed with simple dietary and lifestyle changes. According to Ayurveda, we are composed of the earth’s five elements: Air (Vayu), Space (Akasha), Earth (Pritvhi), Fire (Tejas) and Water (Aapa). And from these five elements arise the three body humors, or Doshas: Vata (Air & Space), Pitta (Fire & Water) and Kapha (Water & Earth). Every human being is composed of a unique ratio of the three doshas and most people have one or two that dominate. Through the doshas a delicate balance, like homeostasis, must be maintained within each individual. The goal of Ayurveda maintain and regain our health thru keeping the doshas in balance. 🌪 VATA is composed of the AIR + SPACE elements. Responsible for movement, it is a powerful energy for creativity and initiation, as well as all motor functions in the body. In balance, VATA is the energy we need to accomplish tasks and tackle big projects. However, it is critical to keep VATA in balance, as excessive VATA can result in lack of focus, anxiety, inability to complete tasks and projects, and physical imbalances such as dryness and pain.

A VATA constitution (PRAKRITI) is typically tall and slender, with a tendency toward constipation, gas and bloating.
