This is a heart shaped petal in the colors of “Flor de cempasúchil” or Mexican marigold.

This lovely client came in to honor her beloved sister & brought a photo of her last moments on earth…
Her head was laying on a pillow & there were tears in the shape of a heart.

I think as a Mexican person that our relationship to death is complex, we like to add humor to soften the blow of heartache, but we also have deep respect for death. It’s become a mix or religion & pre Hispanic tradition, it’s a celebration of life IN death. I personally think our loved ones die once we stop speaking of them, to them & continuously learn from them.
Love is eternal in this life & the next🧡💀🧡
