I think one of the sneakiest ways we lose connection in a relationship is by doing all the “right” things for our life together.

We’re being responsible. Taking care of the kids. Building the business. Paying the bills. Making sure everyone has what they need.

And somewhere in the middle of being such a good team, we forget to be lovers.

Not because the love has gone anywhere. But because life has a way of making the practical feel urgent and the pleasurable feel optional.

And I don’t think every season of a relationship is meant to be perfectly balanced. Sometimes one part of your life genuinely needs more of you. Sometimes love looks like making room for that together.

But there’s a difference between a relationship stretching to hold more life and a relationship slowly disappearing underneath it.

I think we have to be willing to notice when the stretch has gone too far.

When we’re managing everything beautifully, but barely touching. When every conversation is about what needs to happen next. When we keep saying, “We’ll make time for us when things settle down.”

Because sometimes things don’t settle down. We have to decide that our connection matters enough to make room for it inside the life we’ve built.

And that doesn’t always mean a big romantic gesture. Sometimes it’s putting the phones away. Kissing for longer than two seconds. Going somewhere just because it sounds fun. Remembering that you’re allowed to enjoy each other, not just depend on each other.

I don’t want a relationship that only survives the hard seasons.

I want one that keeps making room for us to feel alive inside it.

And I think that’s part of the work of lasting love. Knowing when to stretch, knowing when to soften, and knowing when it’s time to come back toward each other.

Comment PLAYBOOK, if you want first dips when she drops.

Grateful for a rainy day in LA. The earth is so happy. I’m over here watching a movie, sipping on my fave rose tea with almond creamer and drawing away.

I’m so excited to get this in your hands and heart!

This isn’t some rando playbook, I’m pouring my heart and soul into this. My prayer is that you walk away with your eyes wide open and practical steps to enter your next season of your love life with that fire and clarity I know lives in you.

xx 💋

Try the exercise and then tell me:

What did you notice in your body?

———

When we’ve been hurt in love, of course some part of us wants to make sure it never fu***ng happens again. The problem is that sometimes the protection we built around one experience quietly follows us into the next one.

And healing doesn’t have to mean forgiving someone who hasn’t earned your forgiveness, pretending what happened was okay, or forcing yourself to “let go” because enough time has passed. Sometimes it’s simply giving your body a chance to feel what it’s been holding and see if it’s ready to release even a little bit of it.

That’s what I want you to use this practice for. Bring the heartbreak, the betrayal, the resentment, the things you never got to say, the conversations you still have in your head, even the part of you that still wants them to understand exactly what they fu***ng did.

You don’t have to make any of it go away. Just let yourself be with what’s there and notice whether your body is ready to put down even 1% of what it’s been carrying.

Not for them. For you.

Because you don’t need to keep carrying what someone did to you in order to prove that it mattered. You can remember what happened without continuing to live braced for it to happen again.

You get to keep the wisdom, the standards, the deeper trust in yourself and everything the experience taught you without keeping the pain wrapped around your heart forever.

Save this practice for a quiet moment when you’re ready. ❤️

Is he a WINDOW or a DOOR going through a hard season

The 🪞🪟🚪 is a lens for love. It’s a playful way to make sense of men who shape us without putting them in tight boxes.

We often need simple ways to understand dynamic things, like love. Think of this as learning the lines first. Once you can see the pattern, you can let it breathe + make room for nuance.

This gives you a starting place to see how a man may reflect something in you that wants your attention, open you to a whole new experience of love, or become someone you build a life with.

Sometimes one relationship holds more than one and could changes along the way.

Take what resonates.

The deeper you understand what each relationship gave you, the less you need to repeat the same lesson.

*This lens does not apply to any forms of ab*se. That IS NEVER an invitation to stay and learn the lesson.

I’m over here sipping on my rose tea.. drawing, drawing, drawing.. trying to get this playbook finished. I’m so excited to share this!

Now ask the real question..

(And yes… save this. You’re going to want it later.)

Say it out loud: “Am I and [his name] actually in alignment?”

Don’t try to get the answer you want.

Just notice how your body responds.

This isn’t about forcing clarity. It’s about letting your body answer the question your mind keeps looping on.

Your body is honest.
It doesn’t lie to keep the peace.

TEST INSTRUCTIONS:

Stand up straight with your arms relaxed by your sides.
Close your eyes if that feels comfortable.

First, we need to calibrate.

Say “yes” out loud and notice what your body naturally does.
Most people feel a gentle lean forward.

Now say “no.”
You’ll usually feel a subtle lean back.

But it’s different for everyone.

Want extra confirmation?
Say your real name out loud.
Then say a random name that’s not yours.
Notice the difference.

Once you’ve felt how your body answers, ask your question again.

Keep your body relaxed.
Don’t try to control the movement.
The shifts might be subtle at first, and that’s okay.

The more you practice, the clearer it gets.

Big love 💋
