At Healing Dialogue and Action (HDA), we believe that every person deserves to be seen, heard, valued, and supported. Through restorative practices, victim-survivor support, youth development, reentry services, and community connection, we create spaces where healing, accountability, and hope can take root.

The journey from harm to healing is not one anyone should have to walk alone. Together, we can build stronger individuals, stronger families, and stronger communities.

On Sunday, we gathered in community to honor and hold space for mothers, families, and victim-survivors impacted by violence.

This Mother’s Day gathering created space for remembrance, reflection, healing, and connection. Together, we recognized the love that continues beyond loss and the importance of community care in the healing journey. 🤍

To every mother, family member, advocate, and community partner who joined us — thank you for sharing your presence, your stories, and your support. Your strength and compassion continue to remind us that healing happens in community.

At Healing Dialogue and Action, we remain committed to creating trauma-informed spaces where victim-survivors and families are met with dignity, compassion, and care.

No one should have to navigate grief and loss alone. 🕊️

In honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, we reflect on this year’s theme: “Listen. Act. Advocate. Protect victims, serve communities.”

We listened as survivors shared the stories of their loved ones with our youth at Oasis House.

Now, we act—by uplifting their voices, advocating for their rights, and building spaces where healing is possible.

Supporting survivors isn’t optional—it’s our responsibility.

On Monday, April 6, 2026, Healing Dialogue and Action was recognized by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office during the Victims’ Rights Symposium and Awards Recognition.

This acknowledgment affirms our commitment to survivor-centered healing and restorative justice practices that transform lives and communities.

We remain grounded in this work—today and always. 🤍

Expanding our impact, inside and beyond ✨

We recently brought one of our consultants to RJD to observe and support one of our restorative justice classes—continuing our commitment to meaningful, in-facility work.

We also supported our Programs Director, Adrian, and one of our Credible Messengers, Michael, in attending Beyond the Bars at Columbia University in NYC, where they represented HDA on a national stage.

Thank you for helping us expand our reach and uplift our voices, our team, and our community 🤍

This painting was created inside Chino Men’s Prison by a participant in our Restorative Justice program. At the time, it represented resilience — the hard work of accountability, reflection, and growth happening behind prison walls.

Today, its meaning is even deeper. He’s home now.

The same artwork that once lived inside a prison now exists out here in the community — a full circle reminder that transformation is real and that people are more than the worst moment of their lives.

We first met these young men while accompanying them inside Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall, building trust and reminding them they’re more than their circumstances.

Now, our reentry team continues to walk alongside them — recently taking them out for clothes and essential hygiene items to support their transition forward.

Through our partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Youth Development, we’re able to show up consistently — inside and beyond — ensuring these youth have guidance, resources, and people who truly care.

This weekend, our Wounded Healers had the opportunity to spend time at California Men’s Colony and Central California Women’s Facility.

Showing up matters. Listening matters. Holding space without judgment matters.

No one is the worst thing they’ve ever done, and access to healing, education, and community shouldn’t stop at incarceration. This work is about dignity, accountability, and hope — and about believing that transformation is possible for everyone.

Grateful to be part of conversations that center restoration, not just punishment. 🤍
