Reflecting on Our First Year in Practice — and Why I Choose the DPC Model

As we pass the one‑year mark of our practice, I’ve taken time to reflect on what kind of medicine I am truly practicing. Over this past year, I’ve had the privilege of caring for patients with different stories, different needs, and different visions of what healing looks like for them. That experience has shaped my understanding of who I am as a physician and why the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model is the right home for my work.

I chose the DPC model because it allows me to practice medicine the way it was always meant to be practiced: unrushed, relationship‑centered, and deeply personal. Without the pressure of insurance checkboxes or 7‑minute visits, I can focus on listening, understanding, and partnering with you in a meaningful way.

Over this year, many people have asked whether I practice functional medicine, integrative medicine, traditional medicine, or alternative medicine. The truth is that I don’t fit neatly into any of those labels. What I practice is what I’ve come to call healing medicine.

Healing medicine means:

Individualized care that adapts to each person rather than forcing everyone into one philosophy

A blend of approaches, drawing from traditional, natural, regenerative, lifestyle‑based, and evidence‑supported therapies

Respect for your preferences, your comfort level, and your readiness for change

Some patients feel their best with regenerative therapies, peptides, or IV nutrient support. Others prefer herbal medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle changes. And some are most comfortable with conventional medications for conditions like high cholesterol or diabetes. All of these paths are valid. My role is not to push one “right” way—it’s to support your way.

This first year has reaffirmed something important: healing is not one-size-fits-all. It is personal, dynamic, and unique to each individual. My commitment is to meet you where you are, honor your goals, and walk with you at your pace.

Thank you for trusting me with your care. It has been an honor to grow, learn, and practice alongside you this past year—and I look forward to many more years of healing together.

✨ Feeling drained after a viral illness? Struggling to get your energy back?
You’re not alone—post‑viral fatigue can linger far longer than we’d like. That’s why so many people are turning to IV therapy as a supportive way to replenish nutrients, boost immune function, and help the body bounce back.

💧 Why IV Therapy?
IV nutrient infusions deliver vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream, supporting:
• Immune health during and after recovery
• Energy levels when you’re feeling depleted
• Hydration to help your body repair and restore
• Overall wellness so you can get back to feeling like yourself again

Whether you’re recovering from a recent virus, wanting to strengthen your immune system, or simply looking for a natural way to support your energy, IV therapy can be a helpful addition to your wellness routine.
