Our sweet Violet girl started her second year of Pre-K today! 💙💛

This is her final year before kindergarten, and it’s hard to believe how much she has grown. Watching her blossom has been one of life’s greatest blessings. She continues to prove that milestones aren’t about the speed at which they’re reached but the determination, resilience, and joy behind every single one.

School is truly her happy place. It’s where she gets to learn, play, make friends, and continue showing the world just how capable she is. She may rock an extra chromosome, but she also carries an extra amount of love, strength, and determination that inspires everyone around her.

Go shine bright, Violet. We love you so much. 💙💛

One promise I made to myself and to Violet from the very beginning was that she would never be defined by her diagnosis. I promised to always advocate for inclusion and to make sure she had the same opportunities as her siblings and cousins.

She’s never been the one sitting on the sidelines or watching from afar. She’s always been right in the middle of the fun. Playing, exploring, laughing, and making memories alongside the people who love her most. She’s never been made to feel different or left out, because to us, she isn’t.

I truly believe that being included every step of the way has played such a big role in her growth and success. Violet continues to amaze us every single day. She may have an extra chromosome, but she’s also been given every opportunity to simply be a kid and that’s exactly what she does.

Heather has captured so many special milestones for Violet over the years. From her newborn photos and family sessions to celebrating her one-year CHD anniversary. Every session has been such a wonderful experience.

She has a way of making everyone feel comfortable, and she’s always so easy to work with. We’re incredibly grateful to have these beautiful memories to look back on.
