For the first time since I started my practice, I confidently replied “No we do not”…when a person called my office and the first thing they said /asked was” Do ya’ll take insurance?”
After my answer, I waited on a follow up, and then he said “okay” and we parted ways and he hung up.
I used to chase that call and try to explain all the reasons why we don’t and why our model works for so many people, but not this time.
I realize that person is seeking more-for-less, or discounted, budget therapy. That’s something we just don’t do. We understand our value and we’ve been burned too many times trying to make it work for people that don’t value our services. Insurance based PT is totally cool and I worked in that environment for most of my career and works for many but we want more for our clients. Our clients want more out of therapy and their providers and we confidently offer that!
