Heather Felton, MD, saw ways to keep children safer beyond the exam room, then acted. She trained her team in car-seat education, helped connect families with seats they needed, and shared evidence-based guidance parents could rely on.

We’re proud to congratulate Dr. Felton once more as the 2026 Norton Healthcare Physician of the Year.

When a stroke patient arrives, every second counts.

James “Ben” Thornton, MD helped make sure the teams at Baptist Health Louisville were ready. Through physician and nursing education, stronger protocols and years of leadership, he raised the standard for stroke care across the organization.
