Teresa’s Story: Preserving Hair, Preserving Confidence

Teresa, a 52-year-old physical therapist from Louisville, Kentucky, was diagnosed with Stage 1A breast cancer. Faced with chemotherapy and the likely loss of her hair, she found hope in cold capping.

“Saving my hair helped me maintain a sense of normality,” Teresa shares. “It made my cancer journey easier for my family and gave me the confidence to keep moving forward.”

With support from her husband, father, and a friend acting as her cappers, Teresa used Penguin Cold Caps at home and successfully preserved 95% of her hair.

Teresa is now one of Penguin Cold Cap’s newest representatives, helping others navigate their own journeys with confidence.

Her top tips: treat your hair gently, follow the hair rules, use ear bags, and a travel pillow for comfort during long sessions.
