Sometimes, taking a quiet moment to give thanks for the success of a safe and healthy transition is captured through the eyes of someone else. Those same prayers also help guide our hands.

When babies are born on a Saturday....you get to go back and check on them and Mama on Sunday afternoons. When babies come during beautiful weather....they get to see one of your favorite summer dresses 🐆🌻

I kicked off my in MAJOR way. On the first day of BMHW at 0117 am a beautiful baby boy was born at home. I was honored to support this beautiful black family in their homebirth journey. They are my first official clients of Divine Design Midwifery, so that makes it EXTRA sweet!!! Mama was 41 weeks and 6 days at delivery and look at how HEALTHY her placenta is. Don't let them convince ya'll that they just stop working at 40 weeks. She also had a true knot in her cord that looked kind of like a braid. I'm thankful for them. For trusting me and for allowing me to support them. There's an extra special detail about this story, but that's their razzle dazzle to tell ❤️🌻

Happy National Black Midwives Day to our CEO and Founder. Even though she's still technically a student, the calling to be a Midwife lives in her heart and soul. We are so excited to see her blossom into the community Midwife that rewrites what black and brown birthing experiences look like in her city. This is what it looks like to truly do what you love and bask in your element. 🌻❤️
