If your clutter has been bothering you for a while, but the thought of tackling it all feels overwhelming, this is for you.

You don’t need to declutter your whole house all at once. đŸ™‚â€â†”ïž

This basement project is like Christmas for me
I love making sense of chaotic storage spaces!

like most basements this will function in a few different ways. So we need to create zones.

First zone: all outdoor equipment and seasonal decor.

We purged. We decided. We grouped and contained like items. And stored them in a way that makes sense for the space. đŸ’ƒđŸ»đŸ‘đŸŒâ€ïž

it is a work in progress
 More to follow!

Your home is for living
Not storing everything you’ve ever owned. 😳

If you’re constantly working around your stuff, looking for places to put it, moving it from one room to another, or keeping things simply because you might need them someday

It might be time to ask whether your stuff is supporting your life. Or just taking up space in it.

You don’t need an empty house. You need a home with room for the life you actually live. đŸ’„

You don’t have to declutter your entire house to feel a difference.

Start with the thing that’s making your life harder.

The drawer won’t close. The closet you avoid. The pile you keep moving. The stuff you can never seem to find.

You don’t need to fix everything. Fix what’s getting in your way.

It’s a great place to start.❀

You don’t have to have a plan before you join Start Where You Are. đŸ‘đŸŒ

You don’t have to be ready to tackle your whole house or be ready to let go of everything.

You just need 90 minutes.

In that time, we’ll talk about clutter and letting go.
You’ll get practical tips and a handout to keep.
You’ll have a chance to ask questions. *And* you’ll get to actually practice making decisions about your things
with no pressure to finish or to get rid of anything you’re not ready to release. đŸ’ƒđŸ»

Think of it as 90 minutes to learn, ask, practice, and make a little progress.đŸ’Ș

And if you’re weary of joining alone
Ask a friend to join as well. The more the merrier!

I hope to see you on the inside. đŸ€

What if you could keep the memory without keeping the stuff?

Some things are really hard to let go of because they're connected to a memory.
A person.
A place.
A time in your life.
Something that mattered to you.

And when you look at the object, you're not just seeing the object. You're seeing the story attached to it.

But here's the thing:
The memory doesn't live in the stuff.
You can remember the trip without keeping every souvenir.
You can remember someone you loved without keeping everything they ever gave you.
You can honor a chapter of your life without keeping every physical reminder of it.

And sometimes, of course, the thing itself is meaningful enough to keep. That's not a failure to declutter.

đŸ€” The question is simply:
Do I want to keep this because I genuinely want it—or because I'm afraid of losing what it represents?

I wrote about this in my latest blog post, along with some practical ways to approach letting go of sentimental things.

A friendly reminder: the donation bag in your car is not a permanent passenger. đŸ€

You already made the decision to let go. Now finish the job!

Bring. The. Bag. To. Donate. đŸ’Ș
Ok?
 ok.

Most people think decluttering is about losing things, but it’s actually about gaining freedom and space.

When you clear out the old, you make room for new opportunities, fresh perspectives, and less mental clutter.

It’s not about sacrifice—it’s about creating space for what truly matters.

What’s one area in your life where you’d like more freedom? Tell me in the comments!
