Back-to-school season calls for a simple routine that actually gets used. That's why I've created a curated ShopMy with all of my back-to-school skincare essentials.

The goal isn't a 10-step routine, it's building healthy habits that fit your lifestyle and keep your skin barrier strong all year long.

Ever notice your skin breaks out when life feels overwhelming? That's not a coincidence. Protecting your sleep and managing stress are some of the most effective things you can do for your skin. Beauty sleep is real, and your skin knows the difference. 🙌🏻

Beautiful skin isn't built by treatments alone. Daily habits like eating enough protein and fiber, staying hydrated, moving your body, supporting lymphatic drainage, and prioritizing recovery all play a role in skin health.

August is National Wellness Month, and while most people think of wellness as movement or nutrition, I'd argue your skin belongs in that conversation too. Your skin is your body's largest organ, and what shows up on the surface is often a reflection of what's happening internally.

The only kind of rotting I'm encouraging... Facial rotting. An hour of relaxation and healthier skin? Yes, please.

If hyperpigmentation is your biggest skincare concern, it's time to learn one name: Thiamidol. 🙌🏻 One of my favorite products is the Eucerin Radiant Tone line. Personally, I prefer the European serum formulation because it contains fewer fillers than the U.S. version.

When treating pigmentation, consistency always beats intensity.

That's how lasting results are built.

Yes, you can absolutely use a retinal during the summer. The key isn't avoiding retinoids. It's wearing your SPF every single day. Hydrinity's Retaxome Daily Retinal is one of my favorite recommendations for clients with sensitive or reactive skin because it's formulated to deliver the benefits of retinal while supporting the skin barrier.

Why I love it:
✨ Helps improve fine lines
✨ Encourages collagen production
✨ Brightens uneven skin tone
✨ Supports smoother texture
✨ Designed with sensitive skin in mind

If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be this: Stay out of the tanning bed!

Years ago, I had a major skin cancer scare because of my tanning bed use. Thankfully, everything turned out okay, but it completely changed the way I think about sun protection.

Now, protecting your skin isn't just my profession; it's personal. A tan isn't worth risking your health. Wear your SPF, embrace self-tanner, and take care of the skin you'll have for the rest of your life. 🤍

They're helping create the structure that allows your skin to retain moisture in the first place.

If your skin constantly feels dry no matter how much moisturizer you apply, your barrier may be asking for more support, not more hydration.

Strong barrier = healthy skin. ✨
