In recognition of World Cancer Support Month, Gibson Cancer Center invites you to join us for Planting Seeds of Hope on Friday, August 28 from 12 PM to 2 PM in the Obbie Lee Community Room.

Spend a quiet afternoon decorating a flower pot, enjoying light refreshments, and connecting with others who understand the journey.

As we celebrate World Cancer Support Month, we're reminded that hope can grow in unexpected ways and that even the smallest acts of encouragement can make a lasting difference.

Because sometimes hope starts with a single seed.💛

💙 Thank You for Making Camp Hope Survivors Day 2026 a Success! 💙

Thank you to our survivors, caregivers, families, volunteers, staff, and community members who helped make this year's Camp Hope Survivors Day so meaningful. Together, we celebrated survivorship, shared encouragement, and strengthened the connections that make our community stronger.

We are especially grateful to the UNC Health Southeastern Foundation for their generous support in helping make Camp Hope possible.

We would also like to recognize our incredible community partners for their contributions to this year's event. Your generosity, support, and partnership helped create a day filled with hope, education, and connection.

Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of those we serve. 👏🏕️💙

No one should have to navigate a storm alone. 💙

Like a lighthouse guiding ships through uncertain waters, support and connection can help light the way during a cancer journey.

At Gibson Cancer Center, we're here to support patients, survivors, and caregivers every step of the way through support groups and one-on-one conversations with our Social Work team.

A lighthouse can't change the weather, but it can provide direction and the reassurance that help is nearby. In the same way, reaching out for support can make the journey feel less overwhelming and remind you that you don't have to face it alone.

We also invite you to join us for Summer Sips & Create on July 24 from 12–2 PM for refreshments, creativity, and connection.

Grab your friends and family and come on out to Gibson Cancer Center this Friday, June 5th, from 11 AM – 3 PM for our annual Survivors Day & Skin Cancer Prevention Event.

We’re kicking off a summer day at Camp Hope filled with community, celebration, and a few good reminders on how to stay safe in the sun 🌞

This month, Gibson Cancer Center is highlighting Skin Cancer Awareness and Mental Health Awareness, with support groups designed to care for both body and mind.

From support groups to Survivors Day, we’re growing community, sharing hope and reminding everyone to wear sunscreen (yes, even on cloudy days.) 🌞

Be sure to save the date for our Camp Hope Survivors Day & Skin Cancer Prevention Event on June 5th because connection is powerful, and sunscreen is a must! 💙

Hope Starts Here is more than a campaign. It’s a promise to this community.

First introduced on Survivors Day 2025, this effort has been building for nearly a year. With the support of our community and through moments like Boots & BBQ, we have continued to invest in what matters most.

Gibson Cancer Center is that place where every detail reflects care, comfort, and hope for patients and families. We know how much it means to this community and to the people who walk through its doors every day.

Your support goes beyond enhancements. It changes experiences. It eases burdens. It reminds patients and families they are not alone.
