In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our UNC Health Southeastern teams have put their creativity on display to raise awareness across our organization, and now it's your turn to decide which pumpkin deserves the top spot in our "Gourd-geous in Pink" Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

💗 In October, We Wear Pink and Spread Awareness! 💗

Gibson Cancer Center is proud to join UNC Health Southeastern's Go Pink! initiative during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This month, join us in painting our community pink. Every splash of pink helps raise awareness, encourage early detection, and show support for those impacted by breast cancer.

🎀 Join the Mammogram Madness movement! If you're age 40+ and due for your annual screening mammogram, now is the perfect time to schedule.

🎃 Keep an eye out for our organization-wide Gourd-geous in Pink Pumpkin Decorating Contest, where you'll have the chance to help choose this year's winning pumpkin later this month!

In recognition of World Cancer Support Month, Gibson Cancer Center invites you to join us for Planting Seeds of Hope on Friday, August 28 from 12 PM to 2 PM in the Obbie Lee Community Room.

Spend a quiet afternoon decorating a flower pot, enjoying light refreshments, and connecting with others who understand the journey.

As we celebrate World Cancer Support Month, we're reminded that hope can grow in unexpected ways and that even the smallest acts of encouragement can make a lasting difference.

Because sometimes hope starts with a single seed.💛

💙 Thank You for Making Camp Hope Survivors Day 2026 a Success! 💙

Thank you to our survivors, caregivers, families, volunteers, staff, and community members who helped make this year's Camp Hope Survivors Day so meaningful. Together, we celebrated survivorship, shared encouragement, and strengthened the connections that make our community stronger.

We are especially grateful to the UNC Health Southeastern Foundation for their generous support in helping make Camp Hope possible.

We would also like to recognize our incredible community partners for their contributions to this year's event. Your generosity, support, and partnership helped create a day filled with hope, education, and connection.

No one should have to navigate a storm alone. 💙

Like a lighthouse guiding ships through uncertain waters, support and connection can help light the way during a cancer journey.

At Gibson Cancer Center, we're here to support patients, survivors, and caregivers every step of the way through support groups and one-on-one conversations with our Social Work team.

A lighthouse can't change the weather, but it can provide direction and the reassurance that help is nearby. In the same way, reaching out for support can make the journey feel less overwhelming and remind you that you don't have to face it alone.

We also invite you to join us for Summer Sips & Create on July 24 from 12–2 PM for refreshments, creativity, and connection.
