Highland Thunder is a sibling branch to Grand Rapids Thunder. Pine River is in the Highland Conference

Highland Thunder is designed to eliminate financial and skill barriers, ensuring every child has an opportunity to play competitive basketball.

Coaches prioritize teaching, reading, and executing the fundamental concepts of the game over a strict pressure to win.

Teams are available for 6th and 7th-grade boys and girls, high school boys and girls up to the 17U level.

The organization accommodates busy families by offering a pay-as-you-go format for weekend tournaments, typically priced around $35 per tournament, allowing players to only register for dates that fit their personal schedules.
