The participants featured in this video are not minors. They are young adults aging out of the foster care system who have voluntarily provided their informed consent to be photographed and videotaped.

They have chosen to share their stories not only to support the mission of Write 4 My Soul, LLC, but also in the hope of inspiring others who may be facing similar life experiences. It is their sincere desire that their words, experiences, and resilience touch the hearts and minds of those in need of hope, healing, encouragement, and a reminder that they are not alone.

Write 4 My Soul Expressive Writing was honored to work with the youth at the Social Security Youth Leadership Summit Workshop this past weekend.

They asked for hands on activities to keep the youth engaged, inspired, and empowered, so we created vision boards and affirmation boards. Participants learned about the power of words, the importance of reframing negative thoughts, and how changing their mindset can change their future.

I heard so many powerful stories from these young adults who are aging out of the system and preparing to enter the real world. I had the privilege of speaking with each participant one on one, offering encouragement and practical strategies to help them retrain their minds, build confidence, and see new possibilities for their future.

A special thank you to my Director and co facilitator, Derrick Johnson Jr. and Marsha K., for helping make this event such a meaningful success.
